Talks PS, Pais, PNP and PAR about “Assignment Cabinet”

WILLEMSTAD - Representatives of the parties PS, PAR, PAIS and PNP met this afternoon at five o'clock for the first time together. This conversation is the next step in the process of forming a new government for the country Curaçao. The call comes after Acting Governor Adele van der Pluijm-Vrede granted informateur Glenn Camellia more time finish the information process.

Polls at the other parties shows that they all have a positive attitude towards an “assignment cabinet”. PNP leader Humphrey Davelaar suggests that the choice between new elections and an assignment cabinet, his party is willing to talk about the last option. Especially now that there are very few options for the formation of a new government for Curacao. Also PAIS-Chairman and Member of Parliament Mike Franco believes that the option of an “assignment” government, is a solution to the acute problems facing the island at this moment, so it can be discussed.

The meeting this afternoon was the first time the four parties met face to face with each other. This meeting, which was headed by informateur Camelia, aims to assess what lives under the individual parties regarding a possible collaboration.
