Team investigates death little boy during surgery

hospitalWILLEMSTAD – A special team from the Public Health Inspectorate has been appointed to investigate the cause of the death of an 11-year-old boy in the SEHOS Hospital last week. The boy died during surgery.

The team was appointed at the request of the current Inspector General Irving Kelli and consists of three people from the health sector plus a lawyer.

Member of Parliament for MAN Giselle Mc William has insisted on the investigation. The surgeon that performed the operation was placed on mandatory leave for several months earlier this year after complaints from operating room staff.

Several sources are saying that it was a wrong diagnosis that would have been fatal for the 11-year old boy. The team must investigate this. The Inspector is calling on everybody not to jump on conclusions but to wait for the results of the investigation.
