Tourism Master Plan Summit on June 29 and 30
WILLEMSTAD- After months of preparation, Curaçao is now in the last phase of the process to develop a Tourism Master Plan. This plan must cover the period 2015 -2020. On June 29 and 30 there will be a summit where the final results of the research, which was done to develop the plan, will be presented. The team of the University of Central Florida, which was in charge of the development of the plan, will present the vision, mission and stipulated goals for Curaçao to become a principal destination in the Caribbean within the next five years.
The presentations will explain how Curaçao can improve its competitive position in the Caribbean region. The presenters will discuss how the strategies presented in the plan will contribute in generating a sustainable growth in the tourism sector in a socially acceptable way, taking into account the environment and the economic feasibility.
