Uniting for Children Foundation to host seminar on the migrant child in Curaçao
WILLEMSTAD - On November 20, 2015, Universal Children’s Day, the Uniting for Children Foundation (UFC) in co-operation with the University of Curaçao will be hosting a seminar on the Migrant Child in Curaçao.
The seminar will be held in the auditorium at the University of Curaçao and will begin at 5.30 sharp, doors open at 5.00pm.
UFC is proud to welcome two guest speakers, Professor Barbara Oomen, Professor of Law and Dean of University College Roosevelt, who has published extensively on human rights and Tamara Salsbach, the Rights of the Child Policy and legal advisor at SIFMA Curacao. Mrs Salsbach has previously worked on behalf of the International Committee on the Rights of the Child.
A panel discussion will follow the speakers.
The seminar is for local and international participants and the speakers will present in English. Comments from the panel and discussion will be accepted in English, Dutch or Papiamento.
The UFC was established in 2001 and its primary goal is to raise funds to assist with children’s projects on the island and to contribute to building a multicultural society by means of cross-cultural programs and events.
The seminar is free of charge.
