Vendors floating market not pleased with price list
WILLEMSTAD – Since the beginning of this month, vendors at the floating market in Punda are being inspected. These Venezuelan vendors of fruits and vegetables are now required to hang a price list, which indicates what is being sold and its price.
The vendors do not agree with this measure.
On Wednesday morning, the authorities inspected the vendors and found products in the floating market that were being sold that are not on the list and therefore could not be sold. After a warning, these products were twice placed back on the counter by the vendors. Authorities then decided to close down these boats for one day for undermining the authority.
