Welcome to the new U.S. Vice Consul
WILLEMSTAD - Solmaz Sharifi is assigned to the U.S. Consulate Curacao for two years as Vice Consul. Prior to her tour in Curacao, she was assigned to the U.S. Embassy Kabul in Afghanistan and the U.S. Consulate Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.
She has also worked at the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office on Violence against Women, and the U.S. State Department’s Human Trafficking office.
Solmaz is a proud Californian, and graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with degrees in Political Science and Legal Studies. Solmaz is married to Babak Talebi, and they love to scuba dive.
