Breaking news: Unions have convoked an urgent meeting for Monday

Wendy CalmesWILLEMSTAD – The Curacao Unions have convoked an urgent meeting for next Monday March 4, 2013 for all its members. The unions ABVO, BTG, CURATCA, NAPB, SAP, SITEK, STRAF and STSK have all called their members to participate in this meeting during work hours.

This meeting is related to the latest changes in retirement age and the war between the Government and the Unions. The meeting will start at 8 o’clock at the ABVO headquarters in Brievengat.

This means that Monday, the police, teachers, customs and all other Government employees will be attending the meeting during work hours.

If SITEK calls for a meeting that means that there is no school. Police and Customs are also on strike.
