Cijntje: “Take time to choose new leader for PS”

Pueblo SoberanoWILLEMSTAD – According to member of Parliament for the political party Pueblo Soberano (PS), Melvin Cijntje, they have to take time to choose a new political leader for the party. “The party shouldn’t haste to choose a leader. It’s too early and we are still mourning the loss of our leader,” Cijntje declared.

President of the political party, Donald Balentina,  says that he cannot say anything about a new political leader for the party yet. His wish is to get a leader as big as Helmin Wiels was. Members of the party will eventually choose a new leader through a party congress.

Balentina: “We don’t know when and how this congress will take place. There are still no official candidates announced by the leaders of the party. There is nothing going on right now.” There are unofficial reports about the party’s second man Ivar Asjes and Wiels’ brother Aubert Wiels who are being mentioned as possible successors. Party members are saying that there is a conflict between these two about who will take the leadership of the party, but none of them have the charisma of the late leader.

Mr. Balentina denies that there are conflict  and according to him, everything is going the way it’s suppose to go and according to the wishes of Helmin Wiels.

There are many in the community who say that Wiels is irreplaceable and that the party will not survive for more than two years.
