Committee looks into financial policy Curaçao and Sint Maarten
WILLEMSTAD, THE HAGUE - The Kingdom Council of Ministers proposes to install a committee, which will evaluate whether Curaçao and Sint Maarten are adhering sufficiently to the Act on Financial Supervision. The Dutch Minister of Kingdom Relations, Ronald Plasterk submitted a proposal for this committee.
The findings of this committee are expected around July. It has been almost five years now since the Act's financial supervision is in force.
Ron Gomes Casseres is the chairman of the committee and Reuben George Essed from Sint Maarten, Edelmiro Alejandro Seferina from Curacao and Marcel Peter van Gastel from the Netherlands will form the committee.
