Curaçao set to launch first ever Step Curaçao conference

“Curacao The New Mid Shore Reality” Highly Relevant to Latin America High Net Worth Clients and Their Advisors

TORONTO, WILLEMSTAD – The STEP Curaçao Conference 2015 promises to be a “must attend” conference according to conference chair, Bas Horsten.

Our theme, “Curacao … The New MidShore Reality”, is really a comment on the future of off-shore and international financial centers and it’s one that we feel is not only relevant to Latin American HNW clients but also for any client that is looking for a balance between transparency and confidentiality”, he commented.

A partnership between STEP Curacao, CIFC and CIFA, the conference will mark a return to the international stage for Curacao and also highlight the versatility of the jurisdiction, not just in the financial services sector, but for any professional interested in a broader wealth structuring space.

“Our goal is to spark a dialogue between trust and estate, financial services and wealth structuring professionals around best practices, global trends and to provide thought provoking solutions to old and new issues facing these professionals. The STEP brand is a global brand synonymous with best in class thinking and a solution oriented approach to professional development”, Horsten also commented.

March 12 – 13, 2015 will see a gathering of over 200 international and national delegates coming together to network, learn, engage and exchange ideas and experiences all in the world class setting that is the host hotel, Santa Barbara Resort

Aside from the stellar line up of subject matter experts (SME’s) on the latest trends, macro issues, and challenges facing the wealth structuring, business and financial services practitioner, this conference has its finger on the pulse of both the region and Latin America

Curaçao has a host of advantages at its fingertips.

It is ideally situated for HNW Latin Americans as the gateway to both the Americas -- from Chile, Argentina and Brazil to the US and Canada. Curaçao is also a unique Caribbean island with strong ties to the Netherlands (and the rest of Europe).  A major international keynote speaker for the conference is set to be confirmed in early January.

The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) is a unique professional body providing members with a local, national and international learning and business network focusing on the responsible stewardship of assets today and across the generations. STEP provides education, training, representation and networking for its members. Members advise clients on the broad business of the management of personal finance. Full members of STEP are the most experienced and senior practitioners in the field of trusts and estates.
