Curaçao with Kluivert to next round
WILLEMSTAD – The Curaçao National Soccer Team has managed, together with its well-known coach Patrick Kluyvert to continue to the next round of World Cup qualifiers. The team played against Montserrat last night and the final score was 2-2. The home game was won with 2-1 last Friday. Cuba is the next hurdle for Curacao on its way to the 2018 World Cup. This game will be played in June of this year.
The Curaçao team got the lead just before the break with a goal by Darryl Lachman, who plays for FC Twente. After the break it seemed that Montserrat would get a second chance with two goals from Jamal Willer and Bradley Woods-Garness respectively. But it was Lachman’s replacement, Charlton Vicento, who tied the game in favor of Curaçao in the 82ndminute of the game. Vicento plays for the Willem II team in the Netherlands.
