6th Fokker 50 for InselAir
WILLEMSTAD - Only 2 months after adding a 7thMD, InselAir has added its 6th Fokker 50 type of aircraft to its growing fleet, which brings the total to 18. The newest fleet member has arrived Saturday March 28, 2015 at 10pm (local time) at Curacao International Airport and will be joining operations shortly. The addition of this Fokker 50 will significantly improve the connectivity within InselAir’s route network and will also be used to develop new routes.
International network carrier
“Through our hubs in Aruba and Curacao, we provide all of our travelers with easy access to our extensive network of 22 destinations as well as our partner network”, says Jurgen Lippinkhof, Chief Commercial Officer of InselAir. “By acquiring the proper equipment, accurate scheduling and carefully adding new routes, we expect to transport around 1.4 million passengers this year. To support our growth we are adding 2 Fokker 50 type of aircraft to our fleet in 2015. The second one will be arriving later this year and will be used for the same purposes as the one that arrived Saturday”, ends Lippinkhof.
All maintenance on InselAir’s fleet is being conducted by locally recruited and trained InselAir personnel. InselAir’s maintenance team has, over the years, grown to 200+ professionals who are responsible for keeping the fleet, which consist of Embraer Bandeirante’s, Fokker 50’s, Fokker 70’s and MD’s, in its best shape.
