Albert HeijnWILLEMSTAD – It pays to compare prices between different supermarkets. This is according to the Consumer Association of Curacao. They found large price differences when purchasing meat. A kilo steak costs at supermarket Mangusa only 20 guilders, while supermarket Albert Heijn, a consumer will have to pay more than 30 guilders per kilo.

According to the association there is a major price difference because supermarkets import the meat from different countries. Albert Heijn proved to be the most expensive supermarket. Mangusa at Rio Canario is the cheapest.
