McWilliam: Costs medical treatment abroad too high

giselle-mcwilliamWILLEMSTAD - The costs of medical treatments abroad is too high. This is according to the Member of Parliament for MAN, Giselle McWilliam. This is her conclusion after an analysis of the core date of the Social Insurance Bank which shows that those costs increased by more than 12 million in 2016.

The cost has to go down, said McWilliam. But how this has to be done she doesn’t know because Parliament needs more information from the concerned Minister of Public Health, Suzanne Camelia-Römer.

This is also the reason why McWilliam has sent a letter requesting more information.

The Social Insurance Bank (SVB) has issued more than 41 million guilders for medical treatments abroad in 2016. That is 8 million guilders more compared to 2015.
