News confirms: GZE does not have the necessary financial and technical capacity

Guangdong Zhenrong EnergyWILLEMSTAD - The Myanmar Times reported yesterday that construction of the new refinery in southern Myanmar has been halted in November of this year due to financial problems from the Chinese investor Guangdong Zhenrong Energy (GZE).

The news confirms, according to Prime Minister Eugene Rhuggenaath, what has already emerged from the findings of Curaçao's due diligence and desk research, namely that GZE does not have the financial and technical capacity for the modernization project of the Isla refinery.

Former PAIS leader Alex Rosaria is of the opinion that it is up to the government to prevent something like that happening in Curaçao.
