Nine organizations receive donation from The Britannic Club of Curacao

Britannic ClubWILLEMSTAD – The Britannic Club Curacao was established in 1951. The club was initially for the wives of British ex-patriots living and working in Curacao. Over the years, the club has expanded to include members from all countries of the Commonwealth as well as Great Britain and Ireland. Members meet every month to swap news and chat with others and to raise funds for local Curaçao charities.

Today during their New Year meeting, the club has put nine local organizations in the spotlight. These organizations are

  • Siloam
  • Stichting Birgen di Rosario
  • Kuido pa Famia
  • Kinderoord Brakkeput
  • Stichting Shimaruku
  • Westpunt Riders
  • Dierenhulp
  • Dierenbescherming
  • De Savaanhuis

The Club donated most of the proceeds of their Pub Quiz 2013, a total of 18.500 guilders, to those organizations. This is the twelfth time that the Club organizes a fundraising activity for local charity organizations.
