OM: “Robbie is a leader in illicit lottery supported by politics”
WILLEMSTAD – According to the Dutch report, Dick Drayer, who was present in the court room when the Bientu case was being treated today, the Public Prosecutor (OM) indicated that Robbie dos Santos is a leader in the illegal lottery market. The OM estimates that Dos Santos holds two-thirds of that market.
During the second hearing, the Public Prosecutor argued that the treasury has lost 50 million guilders by the illegal activities of the lottery boss. This is 8 per cent of direct tax revenue of the country Curaçao.
The OM says that Dos Santos was supported by politics in his illegal activities. Thus the prosecutor referring to former Prime Minister Gerrit Schotte and former ministers Nassir El Hakim, Carlos Monk, Elmer 'Kade' Wilsoe and George Jamaloodin, the half-brother of the MFK-party financier Robbie dos Santos.
