Paul Comenencia appointed to the Council of State on behalf of Curaçao

Paul-ComenenciaWILLEMSTAD, THE HAGUE - The Kingdom Council of Ministers has decided to nominate Paul Comenencia for appointment to the Council of States of the Kingdom. He will represent the country of Curaçao in the Advisory Division of the Council of State of the Kingdom as a State Council. Comenencia was Minister Plenipotentiary of the Netherlands Antilles in The Hague from 2004 to 2009. He is currently an independent consultant in The Hague.

The Kingdom Council of Ministers also approved the appointment of Hellen van der Wal to the Aruba Financial Supervision Board (CAft). She has a broad track record with the Aruban government and with the Advisory Board of Aruba where she has been secretary since 2004. Van der Wal will take part in the CAft on 1 August. She was nominated by Aruba and will succeed the current member Mr. Robert Croes.
