FloranWILLEMSTAD - RBC Royal Bank has been sponsoring the Little League for 16 years and intends to continue its support. Therefore, on Wednesday, March 23rd, RBC Royal Bank signed a sponsorship contract with Curacao Little League Foundation, Liga Pabou, Liga Pariba and Liga Willemstad of the Little League Baseball. RBC Royal Bank has been a sponsor of the Little League Baseball for 16 consecutive years.

On March 23rd representatives (presidents) of the leagues, the District Administrator and RBC Royal Bank signed a contract during a press meeting at the main office of RBC Royal Bank in Rooi Catootje.

RBC’s financial contribution to the Little League has increased over the years. This is partly due to the expansion of leagues and other financial obligations. This year, the Latin American Championships will take place in Curacao from July 1st to July 10th. This is the Intermediate League championship; for children between the ages of 11 and 13. RBC Royal Bank provides financial support this year as well. The bank is also pleased with the fact that the Big League/Youth has returned, enabling youngsters between 16 and 18 years of age to represent Curacao abroad.

RBC Royal Bank is extremely proud of the Little League kids who managed to win two Latin-American titles during the baseball season of 2016, after which they represented Curacao and Latin America at the World Championship in America. It was a successful year in which the Caribbean as well as the rest of the world paid extra attention to Curacao and the RBC Royal Bank. In its approach RBC Royal Bank always puts the positive formation of the youngsters first and works hard towards making them exemplary citizens and leaders of the future.

In its efforts to make a positive contribution to the formation of the youth, RBC Royal Bank continues to support Little League Baseball.

RBC Royal Bank is particularly proud of the fact that it is a sponsor and thus helps more than 1,300 young people who practice the sport.

The philosophy of Little League matches the philosophy of RBC Royal Bank, which is the formation of young people who are the pillars of the development of Curacao, Bonaire, Aruba and St. Maarten. RBC Royal Bank also sponsors the Little League on Aruba, Bonaire and St. Maarten.

RBC Royal Bank’s contribution helps among other things to cover the costs incurred in representation abroad, site renovation, organizing seminars and the purchase of equipment and uniforms.
