Sambil will open this Thursday
WILLEMSTAD – This coming Thursday will be a great day for the largest shopping mall on the island. The Sambil will open its doors to the public. This is the first step to a new fine tradition on the island. A day later in the afternoon, there will be a ceremony for invited guests, where the ribbon is cut. The management of Sambil is grateful to all the public and private sectors of the island who have contributed to getting this major project from the ground within three years.
As of May 28, there will be periodically various activities to please shoppers of all ages with music, dance, demonstrations, etc. The opening hours of Sambil Curacao are from 10 am to 9 pm Monday through Saturdays and Sundays and holidays from 12 noon to 8 pm.
Sambil has received cooperation from the Curaçao government, various government departments and suppliers to get this entirely air-cooled mall done so to welcome the first customers on May 28. On Monday, the utility company Aqualectra connected Sambil from the electricity network.
Retailers have to put everything in their shop in top order. A week before, everything looked a bit raw and unfinished. Especially these last days there was great progress. The shopping is increasingly getting its character and is opening more and more shops and establishments of the food court to present themselves professionally to customers soon. In the coming days, weeks and months more and more business will open, making it interesting to visit the mall.
