Supreme Electoral Council reminds parliament about elections
WILLEMSTAD - The parliamentary elections will take place this year, probably in October. This is according to the vice president of the Supreme Electoral Council, Mr. Lisa Dindial.
The council is responsible for organizing the elections and to give each party a color by which it will be recognized during the elections. It is up to parliament to set a date for the elections, but it has to be this year.
According to Dindial, parliament must set the date in time, because the Electoral Council, according to the law, needs three months to prepare for the elections.
The last election was held in October 2012. This was also the first elections for the country Curaçao.
