Today is the day – Curaçao Clean Up

clean up teamThe Clean Up

Curaçao is home to more than 145 thousand people, and each of us produces about 4.5 pounds of trash on a daily basis. When driving around the island you will see trash on the sides of the road, at the beaches and even in the sea. As citizens we are all responsible to keep Curaçao clean. With the second edition of this island-wide Clean Up we want to create awareness and activate all citizens to go out on Saturday September 20th and help us clean our island.

Areas of Attention

For the Curaçao Clean Up 2014, more than 40 different locations were selected, that are urgently in need of a cleanup. These locations are spread over the entire island and are divided into three categories: land, beach and sea. On the ‘Locations’ page you will be able to see the locations selected by the organization divided in categories. All helping hands are welcome.

You can choose one of the locations selected by the Curaçao Clean Up organization, or you can choose to clean up a location that is not on our list, if so please inform us in time so we can help with the logistics and removal of all collected trash afterwards. Keeping Curaçao clean is in the interest of the whole island, the environment and also our visitors. By combining the knowledge and expertise of all participating partners, we can organize the Curaçao Clean Up, but to make this a success we need your help in getting as many volunteers as possible on Saturday the 20th of September!
