Tromp initiates legal proceeding against his dismissal

Emsley-Tromp-Niels-van-der-Laan-and-Mirto-MurrayWILLEMSTAD - Emsley Tromp, the former president of the Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten (CBCS) who has been dismissed in October of last years, a legal proceeding to demand, among other things, his re-employment'.

This was confirmed by his lawyer Mirto Murray. Compensation is also part of the legal proceeding, according to Murray. Tromp joined the Central Bank in 1985 and held the post of president from 1991 to October 2017.

His dismissal was related to the suspicion of the Public Prosecutor (OM) against him for tax fraud, but he was acquitted by the Court of First Instance.
