6,879 people signed for ‘Reforma’

ReformaWILLEMSTAD – Former Prime Minister of Curacao and current leader of the political party MFK, Gerrit Schotte succeeded in gathering 6,879 signatures for his campaign Reforma (reform). This way he wants to force a political change in the electoral system of Curacao. Voters will have the opportunity to vote through a referendum for a change in the electoral system.

A panel discussed the question of how these changes can be best achieved. According to Schotte,  Reforma is not a political goal, but it is the result of a need for change. Reforma and his party MFK are two different things, he argued again. According to the organizers, there were about 4 to 6 thousand people present during the manifestation.
