Acting Governor resigns

Adele-van-der-Pluijm-Vrede-WILLEMSTAD - Acting Governor Adele van der Pluijm-Vrede will resign on April 1 of this year. She has submitted her resignation to King Willem-Alexander.

Van der Pluijm-Vrede has served 12 years as acting governor. She served from 1992 to 2010 as the Acting Governor of the Netherlands Antilles, and then the country Curaçao.

After the departure of Governor Frits Goedgedrag end of 2012, Van der Pluijm-Vrede fulfilled the job as Interim Governor for more than a year. Last November Lucille George Wout was appointed Governor.
