Action plan for Minister Plenipotentiary
WILLEMSTAD - Opposition party MFK has requested a public meeting to discuss the way the Prime Minister will implement the recommendations of the Ombudsman concerning Minister Plenipotentiary Marvelyne Wiels.
In a letter to the President of Parliament, Mike Franco the MFK writes that based on a motion of August 13, the plan was to be presented to parliament no later than two months.
In the motion filed by PAIS, Pueblo Soberano, PNP and the independent Member of Parliament, Glenn Sulvaran, the Prime Minister's office was called upon to take responsibility and follow the recommendations of Foundation Government Accountants (SOAB).
According to the MFK, there is overwhelming evidence of a strategy to protect the Minister Plenipotentiary. Therefore, no actions had been taken. “They have put this issue in the pit of oblivion of the coalition formed by PAIS, PNP, PS and Glenn Sulvaran.”
The applicants also want the Prime Minister to be invited to the meeting. They’ve also asked the President of Parliament to send the plan of action to the MPs.
MFK hopes that the meeting will be held within two weeks.
