Ann Groot-Phillips new director Curaçao House

Curacao house in The HagueTHE HAGUE, WILLEMSTAD - Ann Groot-Phillips begins as the new director of the Office of the Minister Plenipotentiary of Curaçao by next March. This was confirmed to the Caribbean Network.

Great Phillips succeeds interim director Melvin Statia in this position, which originally was going to be vacant November 2013. Groot Phillips says that her first day will be March 3.

Groot Phillips worked recently as acting director of the Foreign Relations Department of Curacao. In that capacity, she has accompanied Prime Minister Ivar Asjes and Minister Plenipotentiary Marvelyne Wiels on a few trips to the Netherlands. She has also been Minister Plenipotentiary of Curaçao in Washington in the past.
