Annual Kingdom Consultation on Foreign Relations in Curaçao

Curacao Government CenterWILLEMSTAD - On Thursday, April 5, a Kingdom Consultation on Foreign Relations will take place in Curaçao with the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Stef Blok and the Prime Presidents of Aruba, Sint Maarten and Curaçao.

Prior to the Kingdom Council, Minister Blok held bilateral talks with the Prime Ministers of Aruba and Sint Maarten. A bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Rhuggenaath is also held in Curaçao. In his position as Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Blok represents the entire Kingdom.

During the Kingdom Council, the countries will discuss developments in Venezuela and the consequences for the Caribbean countries of the Kingdom. The countries will also discuss foreign investment, the relationship with the European Union and cooperation in the Caribbean region.

Further on the program of Minister Blok is a reception organized by the Governor of Curaçao, H.E. Mrs George-Wout in the presence of representatives from civil society and the private sector. There will also be an interview with Vice-President of Parliament, Mrs. McWilliam, and the Minister will visit the Commander of the Navy Brigade-General Peter Jan de Vin.
