Appointments at Curacao House reviewed

Alex RosariaWILLEMSTAD - The appointments at the Curaçao Museum in The Hague must go through a revision. This is the result of internal deliberations of the government, says Alex Rosaria of PAIS.

After the financial instructions from the Kingdom Council of Minister, the Government is not allowed to hire permanent staff. Minister Plenipotentiary, Marvelyne Wiels did not comply with those instructions. There is namely a hiring freeze which also counts for the Curacao House in The Hague.

“I was not present during the discussion of the Council of Ministers, but I understand that the decisions of our ministers are based on the conversations that we had,” said Rosaria.

“For PAIS it is really necessary to emphasize that the hiring of new personnel goes according to procedures of good governance and not to keep the Committee for Financial Supervision (Cft) satisfied. Good governance is needed for more efficiency in the civil service that is already very unmotivated and cannot supply the expected service,” according to Rosaria.
