Aruba opposes Curaçao’s request for visa exemption Colombia
WILLEMSTAD - Aruba also objects to the termination of the visa requirement for Colombians visiting Curacao. This is according to the Minister of Justice, Nelson Navarro.
Earlier, the Netherlands had objected to this petition from Curaçao. A request by Curaçao must first be approved by the Netherlands because Foreign Affairs is a Kingdom affair.
The Netherlands is afraid that without visa, especially criminals would travel to Curacao. Curacao looks at the economic benefits in tourism if no visa is needed. Why Aruba is against, is not known yet. Premier Asjesis seeking clarification from his Aruban colleague Mike Eman.
