Asjes and Jardim on a working visit to China and Washington
WILLEMSTAD - Premier Ivar Asjes and Minister of Finance Jose Jardim will be traveling from Wednesday, May 20 to Tuesday, June 2 for a working visit to China and Washington, DC. Both Ministers were invited by the Consul General of China, Chen Qiman.
They will discuss, among other, alternative forms of energy.
The overall cooperation between the countries will also be covered. Werner Wiels, the president of the Multidisciplinary Project Team of the Isla refinery, also forms part of the Curaçao delegation.
The delegation will then travel to Washington, DC on June 1. There they will attend an official ceremony and a reunion. The invitees include the Prime Minister of Aruba and St. Maarten, experts from the World Bank and representatives of the US government. Again, there will be talks on alternative forms of energy and sustainable trade.
Minister Etienne van der Horst of Management, Planning and Service will be in charge of Asjes’ ministry during his absence.
