Asjes supports space port Hato
WILLEMSTAD - The government of Curaçao supports the project space port at Hato. This is what the Prime Minister of Curaçao, Ivar Asjes announced to Ben Droste of XCOR.
XCOR Aerospace is an American private spaceflight and rocket engine development company based at the Mojave Air and Space Port in Mojave, California.
Last month, Droste expressed his concern about the attitude of the government of Curaçao. Asjes promised that all laws necessary to go into space will be ready and presented to parliament by the end of December this year.
Other countries, including Aruba and Puerto Rico have already shown interest to take over the project. XCOR is sticking to Curaçao.
