Betrian – Sambil did not go through proper channels

WILLEMSTAD – The plans for mega mall Sambil (already being built) were never handled by the Ministerial Council of the Cabinet Schotte. This is the first conclusion of current Prime Minister Stanley Betrian. He bases his conclusion on the fact that there is no documentation about the project known to the Secretary of the Cabinet. Betrian indicates this strange finding, since all ministries were more or less involved in the project. There are documents emerging from different ministries according to Betrian.

The Prime Minister also stated that the project is not as big as it was presented to the public by former Prime Minister Gerrit Schotte. Schotte used this project as a campaign stunt saying that he personally will help 2000 women get jobs after this mega mall is finished. According to Prime Minister Betrian this project only has about 300 job opportunities which is way below what was promised.
