Bridging loan SEHOS planned
WILLEMSTAD – The General Hospital (SEHOS) gets a bridging loan of 30 million guilders. This is according to the Minister of Public Health, Dr. Ben Whiteman. This 30 million, which will be provided in tranches, is intended for two purposes.
14 million will be spent on investments to get SEHOS up to date; many of these investments may later be transferred to the new hospital, such as software for procurement of medicines.
The remaining 16 million is intended to improve the liquidity position and repayment of debt.
Through the latter, the financial institutions will receive their money from the hospital and lift the blockade of the demolition of the south wing and mortuary for the construction of the new hospital. Construction will thus be resumed and an imminent million claim from Ballast Nedam will probably be avoided.
Where the 30 million for the bridge loan will come from is not clear.
