WILLEMSTAD - The drivers of the minibuses have booked success now that they were able to schedule a meeting with the entire Council of Ministers for next week.
This is the outcome of the blockade on Wednesday this week. The drivers of these small buses blocked the entrance to downtown Punda and also made it impossible for the public transportation to operate.
These drivers want the government to fixed rates for one year and not adjust them every three months.
They also want the government to help them solve the problem with the police on bikes. According to the drivers, the police is abusing their authority and are not treating them fairly.
