Camelia-Römer and Metry named as candidate ministers for PNP
WILLEMSTAD - Former Prime Minister Suzy Camelia-Römer and former Minister Faroe Metry are the two names most frequently mentioned as a possible candidate ministers for the coalition party PNP.
Members have until next Friday the time to nominate names of candidates.
The decision who the new minister should be, will be taken in consultation with government and the political leader of the party. But members have the opportunity to recruit signatures for their favorite candidates.
Candidates can be nominated by at least 25 signatures. The latest reports from the coalition party indicates that the names Camelia-Römer and Metry are being mentioned the most.
A possible third candidate, whose name is also called, is a former MP for the PNP, Allison Abigail Paula.
The PNP had to look for a new minister after political leader Humphrey Davelaar had lost confidence in Earl Balborda. A few days later Balborda, who was responsible for the PNP with the portfolio of Traffic, Transport, and Urban Planning (VVRP), resigned.
