CDA winner European elections Curacao

European election

WILLEMSTAD - The Dutch political party Christen Democratisch Appèl (CDA) came out as a winner in the European Elections held in Curacao. The Christian Democratic Party gained half of the 556 valid votes, which were cast on May 22 of this year.

The number eight on the list was the Curacao born Marc Frans. He has campaigned on the island and dragged thus 257 of the 282 votes in. D66 was the second party with 105 votes. PvdA and VVD each came out with 46 votes. Four votes were invalid. 682 voters had registered for the European election.

The count in Willemstad went smoothly. Four and a half hour was required in order to be able to give the result. The report will state that one vote is missing. The reason for this was not clear.
