Controversial Dutch MP in Curacao

Wilders-PareraWILLEMSTAD - Not officially announced, but the leader of the Dutch PVV party, Geert Wilders was spotted in Curacao yesterday. The Dutch politician visited the naval base at Parera. This was reported on the Facebook page of the Dutch Defense in the Caribbean.

Wilders was informed about the Coast Guard Caribbean and the work of the military commander of the Navy in the Caribbean. What the PVV man is doing on the island is not known exactly.

Wilders is the founder and leader of the Party for Freedom (Partij voor de Vrijheid – PVV), the fourth-largest political party in the Netherlands. He is the Parliamentary group leader of his party in the Dutch House of Representatives.

Wilders has campaigned to stop what he views as the "Islamisation of the Netherlands". He compares the Quran with Mein Kampf and has campaigned to have the book banned in the Netherlands.He advocates ending immigration from Muslim countries and supports banning the construction of new mosques.
