Cordoba: “No place for MFK and Korsou di nos Tur in the coalition”
WILLEMSTAD - Leader of the Pueblo Soberano party (PS), Jaime Cordoba rejected some of the parties that are now offering to participate in a possible coalition. Cordoba refers in particular to MFK of Gerrit Schotte and Un Korsou di Nos Tur of businessman Amparo dos Santos.
Recently Schotte announced that he will step back as MP in favor of his party being considered as a coalition partner. Schotte even proposed to the ‘informateur’ Kenneth Gijsbertha that MFK would like to work with MAN and longtime rival PAR since the three parties have won the most seats in parliament after last elections. All three parties have obtained four seats.
Jaime Cordoba rejected a possible collaboration with both parties. Earlier these parties accused Pueblo Soberano and MAN of betrayal. The three parties formed the first coalition after the new political structure of the island after October 10, 2010.
According to Cordoba Curaçao is better off in the government without MFK and KDNT. PAR has ruled out both parties as potential government partners.
