Council of Ministers approves Tourism Master Plan
WILLEMSTAD – In its weekly meeting the Council of Ministers has approved the Tourism Master Plan, which was presented by Minister of Economic Development, Stanley Palm. The plan covers the period 2015-2020.
Implementation of the plan will be in the next five years and will cost 40 million dollars. This was confirmed by Minister Palm.
Tourism is the economic pillar, which is growing faster than any other economic sector on the island. Dr. Tico Croes, who is the author of the plan, did a profound analysis and he concluded that the focus must be on the American market, because they stay in hotels and spend more compared to other tourists. This will be very beneficial for the economy.
