Court of Auditors examines chikungunya approach
WILLEMSTAD - The Court of Auditors of Curaçao is currently performing an efficiency audit to see how the government had tackled the chikungunya problem on the island. The parliament of Curaçao had made this request in December last year.
The Court of Auditors will examine how the Ministry of Health, Environment and Nature dealt with the chikungunya epidemic, how the situation has been addressed and what preventive measures were taken.
The Court will begin the investigation as soon as ongoing cases are completed. Then there is enough capacity available to actually start.
