Curaçao has one more political party
WILLEMSTAD – It was a parade of familiar faces during the launch of the new political party Korsou di nos tur (Curaçao belongs to us all), of businessman and former Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Curaçao Ports Authority, Amparo Dos Santos. Dos Santos is the brother of former Minister of Finance during Schotte’s cabinet, George Jamaloodin.
Eye-catcher is former Justice Minister Norberto Ribeiro. He was then appointed by the political party PAR. Ribeiro was also leader of the Democratic Party (DP).
Also, former Education Minister Carlos Monk is on the list. Monk is a suspect in the murder of the popular political leader, Helmin Magno Wiels.
Other familiar faces are the critical political commentator Menki Rojer, former FOL commissioner Frensel Marchena and attorney Chester Peterson.
The party headed by Amparo Dos Santos wants to participate in the September elections and is seeking independence of Curaçao and poverty reduction.
