Curacao worthily represented in exhibition Tropical Kingdom

Tentoonstelling Tropisch Koninkrijk.THE HAGUE, WILLEMSTAD - On November 28, 2013, Ank Bijleveld-Schouten, Chairman National Committee 200 years Kingdom, opened the Tropical Kingdom exhibition at the Museum Foundation in Zwolle, the Netherlands. This took place in the presence of the Minister Plenipotentiary of Curaçao Mrs. Marvelyne Wiels and the Governors of Curaçao, Mrs. Lucille George Wout, Aruba, Mr. Fredis Refunjol and Sint Maarten, Mr. Eugene Holiday.

Tropical Kingdom takes place in the context of celebrating 200 Years of the Dutch Tropical Kingdom1Kingdom and provides a comprehensive overview of contemporary art from Aruba, Curacao, St. Maarten, Bonaire, Saba and St. Eustatius.

In Tropical Kingdom, Curaçao is worthily represented by the works of the following artists: David Bade, Herman van Bergen, Rene Emil Bergsma, Ruben La Cruz and Karolien Helweg, Yubi Kirindongo, Tirzo Martha, Felix de Rooy, Kirk Claes,  Evelien Sipkes and Ellen Spijkstra.
