Davelaar elected as Vice President of Parliament
WILLEMSTAD - Humphrey Davelaar was elected Vice President of the Curaçao Parliament. The PNP leader, who has been a Member of Parliament since October 10, 2010, believes that parliament can function better. He hopes to be able to make his contribution to this.
Davelaar succeeds Jaime Cordoba. Along with PAIS member Marcolino 'Mike' Franco he will lead the parliament in the coming period.
Franco thanked Cordoba for the work he has done in the past period as Vice President of the Parliament.
In a reaction, Davelaar stated that he considers is a great honor to be chosen as the Vice President. In the past the PNP MP has often been very critical about the functioning of parliament and government. In his new job he will remain critical, said DaveLaar.
