Davelaar wants investigation into police role in Parliament
WILLEMSTAD - Former President of Parliament Humphrey Davelaar wants a thorough investigation into what took place during the parliamentary debate last Wednesday. He made this request to the new Minister of Justice Ornelio Martina.
During the debate, Davelaar requested the security service and the police to remove two Members of Parliament of the opposition, Gerrit Schotte and Amparo dos Santos from the Parliament Hall. The former President also requested to clear the public gallery. This only happened an hour later because there were too few police officers.
