Dutch MP asks question about Gumbs
WILLEMSTAD, THE HAGUE – The Dutch Member of Parliament for the Socialist Party, Ronald van Raak has asked questions in parliament about the Secret Service of Curaçao, the VDC. Van Raak did this following the court’s ruling in favor of the former head of the service, Edsel Gumbs. (see article)
Van Raak asked the Dutch Minister of Kingdom Relations, Ronald Plasterk if he is prepared to send the supervisory committee of the secret service to do a research into the problems at VDC.
Van Raaks says that Gumbs was dismissed and replaced by Gerrit Schotte’s own pupit. Schotte did all this because he could not pass the screening. If he was properly screened, he would have never become Prime Minister of Curaçao.
Van Raak has denounced Schotte and his government in the past. The Dutch MP accused Schotte of dealing with the Italian mafia, through the casino boss in Sint Maarten, Francesco Corallo.
