Environmental organization wants to talk to Gijsbertha
WILLEMSTAD – The environmental organization SMOC wants to be involved in the consultation rounds with ‘informateur’ Kenneth Gijsbertha.
The foundation that fights for clean air on the island appeals to the call of the Government of Curaçao H.E. Lucille George-Wout. The Governor said that Gijsbertha should also talk to civil society organizations during his efforts to receive information about the political parties that could form the next government of the island.
The environmental organization realizes that the chances are small because SMOC has never been invited to a debate on the future of the refinery as a stakeholder. They do hope that they will at least get an opportunity to talk to Gijsbertha and inform him about their wishes for the new government of the island.
