Former MAN leader approached by other political parties
WILLEMSTAD - Former leader of the now opposition party MAN Charles Cooper was approached by two political parties to be included on their candidates list as number two for the upcoming parliamentary elections. This was confirmed by Cooper during a radio interview.
There are strong rumors indicating that Cooper was approached by the leader of the opposition party MFK to be number two on their list. According to sources, since Gerrit Schotte is a convict, he cannot become Prime Minister. The idea is to appoint Cooper as the Prime Minister if the MFK wins a majority and is able to form a government.
During the interview Cooper did not want to name the parties that approached him with the offer.
Although the MAN MP and former leader said that he did not give an answer to the parties that have approached him, he is still very unsatisfied about the party where he has been a part of for years.
