Former Prime Minister joins elections 2016 with own party
WILLEMSTAD - Former President of the Parliament and Prime Minister of Curaçao, Ivar Asjes, will participate with his own party in the elections of next year.
The political movement that must launch the new party is called: Speransa, pa un Miho Kòrsou, Hope for a better Curaçao. Asjes claims that Curaçao has a lot to offer. Especially in terms of credibility, consistency and competence. The lack of it in others causes is, according to the former Prime Minister, the main reason for distrust in the voter.
Asjes also says to be ready for early elections, should the need arise.
