Gerrit Schotte before the court in January

SchotteWILLEMSTAD – The lawsuit against MFk leader and former Prime Minister Gerrit Schotte will be treated on January 16, 2015. Schotte is suspected of fraud, money laundering and forgery in the so-called case-Babel. The former prime minister was arrested on May 20 together with his wife Cicely van der Dijs.

The couple was soon released pending the investigation.

Radio signal jammers

As part of the study, there are several raids done at that time. There were several signal jammers found and also a missing diplomatic passports, which was reported by Schotte himself as stolen. On the use of signal jammers there is a maximum sentence of four years. It is not certain whether Schotte actually used these.
